Privacy

Effective for cvstudiopro.online — required for Google Sign-In and account features.

Last updated: September 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CV Studio Pro (“CV Studio Pro,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our website and application (the “Service”) at cvstudiopro.online. Please read it carefully. By using the Service, you acknowledge this Policy.

1. Who we are

CV Studio Pro is a web-based CV editor. You can use the core editor as a guest with data kept on your device. You may also sign in (for example with Google) to sync CVs to your account in the cloud.

For privacy questions, account help, Google Sign-In support, and deletion requests, email User support at abrahamobando1918@gmail.com. For general product questions, email Contacto at contact@cvstudiopro.online.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to:

  • Use of the CV Studio Pro web application and related pages (including Privacy and Terms pages).
  • Optional features such as accounts / sign-in, cloud sync, AI assistance, analytics, and link sharing, as described below.

It does not cover third-party websites or services that we do not control, even if linked from the Service (for example Google’s account pages when you use Google Sign-In).

3. Our privacy-first model

An account is optional. Guests can use the core editor without signing in. Guest CV content is designed to remain on your device unless you use a feature that sends data elsewhere (for example optional AI tools, sharing, or signing in to sync).

  • Local storage (guests). CV data and many preferences are saved in your browser (for example localStorage). That data stays on your device unless you export, share, sync to an account, or send it through a feature you choose to use.
  • Signed-in sync. If you create or use an account (including Google Sign-In), we store the CVs you choose to keep in your account on our cloud database so you can access them on other devices. You can delete those CVs from the product or request deletion via the contact email below.
  • Your control. Clearing site data permanently removes locally stored guest CVs (we cannot recover that). Account CVs are controlled through your signed-in library and account deletion requests.

4. Information we process

A. Information you provide

  • CV content you type or import (name, contact details, experience, education, skills, photos, links, and similar résumé fields).
  • Optional settings such as language, theme, and product preferences.
  • Account information if you sign in (for example name and email from Google, and a stable account id from our auth provider).

B. Technical and usage data

When you visit the Service, standard technical data may be processed by our hosting and analytics providers (for example IP address truncated or hashed where applicable, device/browser type, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, and feature usage metrics). This is used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

5. How we use information

We process information to:

  • Provide and maintain the editor and export features.
  • Remember preferences and draft CVs (locally and/or in your account when signed in).
  • Authenticate you and sync account CVs across devices when you choose to sign in.
  • Run optional AI features you request (see Section 6).
  • Understand aggregate product usage and improve reliability and UX.
  • Comply with law, prevent abuse, and protect the Service and users.

6. Third-party processing

Some features rely on third parties. When you use those features, the relevant data is transmitted to them under their terms and policies.

A. Sign-in and cloud infrastructure

Account features use providers such as Supabase (authentication and database) and, when you choose Google Sign-In, Google as the identity provider. Google shares basic profile information (typically name, email, and profile image) with our auth stack so we can create or link your account. Cloud-synced CV JSON is stored in our database associated with your user id.

B. Artificial intelligence

Optional tools (for example improve text, spell check, parse a CV, translate, or generate a summary) may send the text needed for that request to Google Generative AI (or a similar provider we configure) over HTTPS.

  • Only the content required for the feature is sent, when you trigger the action.
  • AI requests are for the feature you invoke; they are separate from Google Sign-In unless you are already signed in for sync.
  • Provider retention, training, and logging are governed by that provider’s terms for the API tier we use. Review their documentation for current commitments.
  • You should not submit data you are not allowed to process or share with a processor.

C. Analytics

We may use analytics (for example Google Analytics or Sentry) to understand how the product is used in aggregate (sessions, feature adoption, errors, device categories). Analytics is not used to sell your résumé content.

D. Hosting and infrastructure

The website is served via hosting/CDN providers (for example Vercel). They may process connection logs necessary to deliver the Service securely.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We do not use advertising cookies. We use browser storage and may use essential cookies or similar technologies to:

  • Keep the Service working (security, load balancing, basic preferences).
  • Store local CV drafts and UI settings.
  • Measure aggregate usage where analytics is enabled.

You can clear site data in your browser settings at any time.

8. Legal bases (EEA/UK, where applicable)

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:

  • Contract / steps prior to contract — to provide the Service you request.
  • Legitimate interests — to secure, maintain, and improve the Service in ways that do not override your rights.
  • Consent — where required (for example certain analytics cookies, or optional AI features that transmit content), which you can withdraw by stopping use of that feature and clearing local data.
  • Legal obligation — when we must retain or disclose information to comply with law.

9. International transfers

Third-party processors (such as AI or analytics providers) may process data in the United States or other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers (for example Standard Contractual Clauses). Your local browser storage remains on your device.

10. Retention

  • Local (guest) CV data: retained on your device until you delete it or clear browser storage.
  • Account CV data: retained while your account is active and the CV remains in your library (including trash until permanently deleted), or until you request account/data deletion.
  • Server logs / analytics: retained according to our providers’ defaults and our operational needs, typically for short periods unless needed for security or legal reasons.
  • AI requests: handled per the AI provider’s retention rules for the API configuration we use.

11. Security

We use industry-standard measures appropriate for a web application (HTTPS, access controls on cloud data, careful handling of client-side data). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for securing your device, browser profile, account access, and any exported files or shared links.

12. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

  • For locally stored CVs, you can view, edit, export, or delete them directly in the app or by clearing browser site data.
  • For account CVs, use in-app delete/trash controls while signed in, or email us to request account or data deletion.
  • For requests about processing we control, email User support at abrahamobando1918@gmail.com. We may need information to verify the request and will respond within applicable legal timelines. General product questions can go to Contacto at contact@cvstudiopro.online.

13. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may also be highlighted in the product. Continued use after an update constitutes acknowledgment of the revised Policy where permitted by law.
